SURGICAL TREATMENT OF THREE-COLUMN LIGAMENTOUS EXTENSION INJURY OF THE THORACIC SPINE IN A PATIENT WITH ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS

Abstract
The paper presents a case of surgical treatment of unstable three-column ligamentous injury of the thoracic spine (type В 3.2) in a patient with ankylosing spondylitis. Despite relatively favorable X-ray findings and clinical features, the injury required surgical treatment including monosegmental transpedicular spinal instrumentation.
