SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SEVERE NEUROMUSCULAR SCOLIOSIS IN PATIENTS WITH SPINAL MUSCULAR ATROPHY

Abstract

The paper presents clinical observations of treatment outcomes of scoliosis associated with spinal muscular atrophy. It was shown that surgical intervention resulted in corrected body balance, prevented progression of spine and thorax deformity, and improved self-care in patients.
